Mustello Announces Funding for SEBCO Improvements

January 28, 2025

JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP – Rep. Marci Mustello (R-Butler) today announced Jefferson Township has been awarded $125,000 in Greenways, Trails and Recreation Program (GTRP) funding to improve the Southeast Butler County (SEBCO) Pool.

The funding will support crucial repairs and improvements to equipment along with upgrades to the facilities that will enhance public safety and greatly improve operations. The grant will help to cover costs for construction, equipment and engineering and will ensure the pool continues to maintain high standard for safety and public health.

“The Laura J. Doerr Memorial Park, along with SEBCO Pool, are key recreational assets within the region. For decades, the pool facilities have provided area residents with a place to cool off in the summertime while offering lessons and team activities for personal growth,” said Mustello. “This funding will allow Jefferson Township to make much-needed improvements to the facilities, enabling them to remain a safe and enjoyable place for years to come.”

The Greenways, Trails and Recreation Program, established under Act 13 of 2012, is dedicated to supporting public recreation and greenway development across the state, providing municipalities like Jefferson Township with the resources they need for vital community projects.

“I am proud to help secure these funds for Jefferson Township and excited to see the improvements to SEBCO take shape, benefiting our families and visitors,” said Mustello.
