BUTLER –Area farmers and those with agriculture-related businesses are invited to a farmers teleconference on Friday, April 17, with Rep. Marci Mustello (R-Butler) and featuring guest speaker Pennsylvania Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding.
The event will run from 9:05-10:30 a.m. Mustello, Redding, Butler County House and Senate legislators, as well as members of the Butler County Farm Bureau, Butler County Conservation District and Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences,will provide an update on issues faced by farmers in the Commonwealth and answer questions.
“Agriculture in Pennsylvania’s No. 1 industry and is significant to our local economy and the health of our community, especially at this critical time as we try to combat COVID-19,” said Mustello. “As a member of the House Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, I want to make sure I am doing all I can to support their continued success.”
